The IAMI GUEST Leadership Program is available to support any professional Head of Department who is leading teams or those in charge of other onboard personnel. Heads of departments have a responsibility within their appointed roles to understand the impact of leading individuals and their department teams.
The Foundation Leadership Unit focuses on managing challenges faced by first-time HoD (Head of Department) positions. It addresses topics such as motivation, effective communication, resource management, and conflict resolution.
The Advanced Leadership Unit builds upon these skills and emphasizes the impact leaders have within their ranks. This module covers self-motivation, empathy, approachability, diplomacy, motivation, and influencing individuals and teams. It also teaches mediation techniques for potential conflicts.
