Based in Delray Beach, FL with travel to NYC, Upstate NY and Aspen Hotel accomodation is provided for estate staff on all trips.
Salary: $150,000-170,000/DOE
Typical schedule is 12-9pm, 6-day work week with anywhere from 6-16 weeks off per year, depending on owner schedule. Owners also own a large high profile superyacht and give their estate staff additional holiday time when they are on board the yacht.

We are looking for a highly experienced Charter Chef for this Luxury River Cruise catering up to eight guest. The Chef de Cuisine is solely responsible for all food service of highest caliber on board the vessel including both (8max) guest and (7) crew meals. Working with the hotel manager, the chef shall develop all weekly menus, taking into account any guest food allergies or expressed preferences, provisioning requirements, and availability of fresh, local ingredients. Each charter is 6 or 11 nights. Every meal is with finest crystal and china; each meal is an event, carefully planned and prepared with the freshest produce for an extraordinary culinary experience. The chef will have daily interaction with the guests throughout the cruise and must be both articulate and personable.

Leave: 31 vacation days during ship repositionings and between some 2 week charters. Every Saturday evening off on 6-night cruises.

Wonderful owners who value and care for their crew. Crew have a solid work life balance and a car provided when in Newport.
When cruising the boat moves a lot visiting many beautiful parts of the west coast, crew have freedom to do recreational activities during down time even when guests are on. Each season is planned well in advance consisting of 6x week long trips separated by 1 week with 4 - 6 guests. When in California live ashore is also permitted.
Deck/Stew has own cabin when the yacht is not cruising, as Chef is only brought in seasonally.
May start in California
Captain is hands-on and knows the vessel inside and out, having been with this program for several years. Someone who wants to learn the full scope of interior/exterior/engine room would find this program especially appealing, as Captain would be happy to train.
