123' US Flagged private yacht is looking for an engineer.
This yacht is currently in Ft. Lauderdale, in the shipyard and will there until June or July. Then the boat will head to the Bahamas for the owners maiden voyage. After that, the boat will be based in Marco Island, Fl. Owners are American/Dutch from Texas. they enjoy water sports, snorkeling and sailing. Very nice people.

This a 2/2 rotation on a busy vessel. Position will be starting mid to late June in the MED.

Supporting clients on Technical topics and Regulatory areas when dealing with Contractors and specialists.
Interacting with shipyards with respect to the points above and on areas of Operational Effectiveness and Operational Safety.
Undertaking on-site inspections to shipyards with regards to yacht under construction and audits/technical inspection on yachts in operation.
Reviewing Technical documents and comparing them against relevant regulations.
Reviewing client's planned maintenance system.
Reviewing and assessing defects and class status report with the aim to support our clients as required.

Ideal candidate should be:

Highly motivated to provide clients and crew with exceptional levels of service.
Systematic and pragmatic work approach with high level of attention to detail.
Exceptional level of communication skills.
Good knowledge of STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, and MLC Conventions.
Computer literacy.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications needed:

5 Years sea service in Engineering capacity

You will have a overview of yachts in your fleet and be the main point of contact
Sound knowledge of compliance and technical overview of yachts
Assist with some of the recruitment for crew
Fluent English speaking and writing 
Assist and obtain new business for the company
Be able to travel and sometimes at short notice
Be a confident communicator with internal and external stakeholder


You will have shorebased experience as yacht manager or similar
Good yachting knowledge
Sailed in senior rank of engineer and the company would ideally like you to hold either your Y1 or Chief Engineers Unlimited

You will have the right to live and work in the UK and be open to relocating.
