This course aims to transfer the required knowledge, competence and skills to the course participants’, as stated in the STCW Convention. On successful completion of the course & oral examination, candidates will be able to work as a Deck Officer on yachts <3000GT.
Pre-requisites
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid seafarers medical (IMO/ILO)
- Hold a valid STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate
- Hold a valid TM Master of Yachts 200GT Certificate (or equivalent)
- Hold a GMDSS GOC
Seatime Required
Either 36 months seatime or 12 months seatime whilst holding a TM Training Record Book. (Dispensation available for candidates with an MCA Yacht Training Record Book) All seatime must be obtained on vessels of not less than 15 metres/ 80GT or more, whilst holding:
- TM Master of Yachts 200GT
- RYA Yachtmaster 200GT
- IYT Master of Yachts 200GT
- Italian Nautical Licence (class B)
